SMB Data Point of the Week: Social Media Ad Success Tied To Revenue

Facebook and other social media channels tracked in the Local Commerce Monitor™ (LCM) Wave 20  continue to be the most popular used channels among small businesses.  Small businesses’ top three reasons they spend to advertise on social media are 1) ease of use, 2) ability to use it without assistance and 3) the most effective way to communicate with customers. Three logical reasons for small businesses spend on social media. When we look at why small businesses continue to spend on social media, the second most important measure of success is the amount of revenue tied to ads and content marketing. Marketers need to make sure they are communicating, along with engagement metrics, revenue tied to the performance of social media ads and content marketing efforts in order to get small businesses to invest and spend more on their social media campaigns.
