GOLOCAL Awards Submission Rules and Guidelines
Entering
- The entry deadline is 11:59 PM Eastern Daylight Time, on April 2, 2014.
- Anyone can enter for free.
- Any digital marketing program executed by a national brand or multi location regional brand is eligible. The program can still be live.
- You can submit each entry only once, and once submitted, you cannot modify it.
- In the submission form, you'll be asked for a brief description of your digital marketing program. You only get 1,500 characters for each (including spaces). Make sure your description is compelling and informative for our judges.
- There are three categories in the GOLOCAL Awards. Choose the category that best reflects your program.
- Sales or Revenue (Driving dollars for national brand or a franchisee)
- Innovation (Creative approaches, new uses of technology)
- Strategic use of digital marketing (i.e., mobile, social, loyalty, digital efforts)
- We highly encourage you to create an online webpage (such as on your own site or blog, on your agency's site, or anywhere else) where you can include all the details, as well as relevant links, graphics and more to describe your marketing program, how it worked and the business results it generated. You are even welcome to post a video of your program if you like. As much detailed information as you can offer is critical as it is how our judges will know which entries really deserve recognition.
- Only submit your own work. Agencies and vendors can submit work they do for clients, but they must obtain permission from the client.
- We reserve the right to reject applications that are incomplete, obscene, inappropriate, or use copyrighted work without permission.
Judging
- Our judging panel will select winners based on how effectively their marketing program fulfilled their stated objectives of each program. The more proof your entry offers in terms of ROI, business satisfaction, the more information our judges will have to evaluate your program.
- PRIVACY NOTICE: We respect and acknowledge the intellectual copyright of the entering firms' creative work and we will fully protect those rights. As such:
- Submissions will only be viewed by our judging panel and BIA/Kelsey analysts. All entries will be kept private and contact information will only be used to communicate with entrants about the competition.
- No information will be shared with any third party sources, including sponsors of the competition or the conference.
- With approval, BIA/Kelsey may feature the best entries in our written research, on our blogs, at our events, or in our presentations. (This is a good thing! It means you get recognition as a leader in digital marketing.)
