Ari Kaufman

CEO, Placeable

Ari is an online advertising industry veteran. Over the past 18 years he has led start-up, turn-around and early-stage growth companies. Ari executed the management buy-out of LocationInsight (now Placeable) from the former parent company, InfoNow, and capitalized the business in partnership with United Communications Group (UCG).

Before Placeable, Ari served as General Manager for LookSmart, where he managed the CPC text ad network and platform that processed over $250M in revenue. Prior to that, at MatchLogic he introduced first-party display ad serving to the industry.

Earlier in his career, Ari founded and then sold interactive lead-gen advertising firm ThinkAcquisition. Before that, he drove World Investor Link to IPO on the London Stock Exchange as Chief Strategy Officer. As a founder of Zacks.com he helped pioneer the online advertising industry with the explosive growth of the first fully ad-supported web site in 1996.

Ari holds bachelor’s in animal science and genetics from Purdue University.
