RANDY PARKER, Founder and CEO, PagePart; Founder, Constant Contact
Randy Parker is CEO and founder of PagePart, whose mission is to help very small businesses (VSB) love their web presence. Parker has 20 years experience focusing specifically on web and software services for small local businesses, most notably as founder of the small business powerhouse Constant Contact.
His specialty is a deep understanding of the realities of the small business owner's environment, witnessing their joys and pains first-hand, whether behind the counter at a quick-serve restaurant, camping out at a small medical clinic, or witnessing the ins and outs of life at the desk of a yoga studio. (But he not yet followed Andrew Mason’s lead as maître d' of a sushi restaurant.)
At Constant Contact, which Randy founded in his attic, he pioneered numerous software-as-a-service, customer acquisition, and small business marketing techniques which are now standard. He has also been instrumental to small business initiatives with companies like Intuit and IBM. In addition, he is a hands-on advisor to startups that are tackling the local marketing challenge.
Randy has a degree in Computer Science from MIT, where he did research in artificial intelligence.
