CHANTILLY, Va. (Jan. 9, 2015) – BIA/Kelsey today announced a call for entries for the 2015 GOLOCAL Awards, a competition to identify and celebrate the most successful local marketing initiatives deployed by national brands.
National brands are investing substantial dollars and resources to deploy local marketing programs. By 2018, BIA/Kelsey estimates national brands will spend more than $68 billion on their local marketing initiatives. The GOLOCAL Awards will recognize the most effective national-to-local marketing strategies.
“The GOLOCAL competition is an exceptional way to highlight brands and agencies that are executing successful digital marketing programs at the local level,” said MacKenzie Lovings, VP of marketing, BIA/Kelsey. “As we lead our clients in their local endeavors, this competition gives our community an opportunity to learn from the latest local targeting innovations and best practices being deployed by national players. We’ve designed the program so it offers a terrific opportunity both for participants and the local community to learn about business initiatives that are having an impact and generating revenue.”
Entries will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges, based on how effectively their marketing program fulfilled their stated objectives. Categories include sales/revenue, innovation and strategic use of digital marketing.
Last year’s category winners were YP/Quiznos (sales/revenue), Eventful/FOX’s Sleepy Hollow (strategic use of digital marketing) and Tribune Broadcasting/Walmart (innovation).
Deadline for 2015 entries is Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015. Finalists will be notified by March 4, 2015 and showcased at the upcoming BIA/Kelsey NATIONAL conference, March 25-27, in Dallas, where category winners will be announced.
