TV/LPTV Interference Study

The TV/LPTV Interference Study can be used as a "first check" planning tool to allocate Low Power Television (LPTV) and TV Translator channels. View Study Sample

This study is designed to test a proposed TV site for feasibility with respect to existing facilities and proposals. Interference criteria is used as a "first check" to allocate Low Power Television (LPTV) and TV Translator channels. This study performs contour protection analysis using the service contours and interference ratios specified in Section 74.705 and 74.707 of the FCC Rules. The Interference study utilizes the overall HAAT and maximum (non-directional) ERP to determine the extent of the service and interfering contours specified. The resulting contours are circular and should only be used for a cursory evaluation of the frequency allocation. Final analysis should always be performed using the Detailed Interference study.

To run this study, customers must provide the following information:
Job title
Metric or English
Translators included or excluded
TV zone (from Section 73.609 of the FCC Rules)
Safety zone (distance beyond the required separation)
Safety dB
Channel (s)
Frequency offset (+/-/o)
Coordinates
HAAT of proposed transmitting antenna
ERP of proposed antenna

Price: $200.00 (first channel, see price list for same site/same day discount on multiple channels)
