Will Scott, CEO, Search InfluenceWill Scott founded Search Influence in collaboration with COO Angie Scott in 2006 with the goal to create scalable solutions for SEO, SEM and social media. Scott has been online since 1994 and has a deep history in building scalable systems for the Web. Scott is a recognized leader in local search, social media, and content marketing and is a frequent speaker at national conferences and contributes to projects such as the Annual Local Search Ranking Factors project. He also sits on the faculty of Local U.
He honed these skills during his time as VP of Systems Integration at YPsolutions (acquired by Local Matters), an online technology provider to Sprint (RH Donnelly) Best Red YP and more than 20 other independent yellow pages. This background in yellow pages technology helped him understand the value of building his company with a skilled team focused on local search.
Scott has led Search Influence to become nationally recognized for excellence in SMB marketing and the largest online marketing company on the Gulf Coast with over 50 full-time employees and 70 contract writers supporting direct and white label customers. Scott and his team provide a full-service approach to search, social and online advertising and have a proven retention rate, 2,000+ resellers and was New Orleans’ only Inc. 500 honoree in 2011 and an Inc. 5000 honoree in 2012. Search Influence is a Flyover 50 Winner, Winner of the American Marketing Association’s 2012 Marketing Awards of Excellence (MAX), and has 10 in-house Google Adwords & Bing Certified representatives.
