Ziad Ismail, Senior VP, Product & Engineering, Marchex

Ziad Ismail Ziad Ismail Senior Vice President, Product & Engineering Ziad joined Marchex in 2011 and leads the vision and execution for our product and engineering teams.

Between 2004 and 2011, Ziad held various leadership roles at Microsoft and worked primarily on new product categories. He helped launch the mobile search and mobile advertising efforts, identified and drove multiple acquisitions, and oversaw product planning for Windows Phone.

A serial entrepreneur, Ziad has been the founder and CEO of several companies, including CitiKey, an award-winning mobile local company started in 1997 in Stockholm, Sweden. Prior to that, he spent two winters at the Arctic Circle in the Swedish military.

Ziad received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and M.Sc in Computer Science from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden.
