Jody Ford Jody Ford, VP, Marketing, eBay Marketplaces

Jody Ford leads Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM), Relationship Marketing (RM) and Loyalty for eBay Marketplaces in North America (NA). Jody is a trusted leader with strong international experience, a diverse background, and a solid track record of picking up new areas of responsibility and driving them to great success.

Under his leadership, the NA Advertising Display business flourished, eBay’s mobile business grew exponentially, and Trust measures in Europe hit an all-time high through programs such as eBay Top Rated Seller (eTRS), Seller Standards and eBay Buyer Protection in that region.

In 2012, Jody assumed his current role and is responsible for building out the global marketing product platforms in SEO, Paid IM, and CRM. He leads a team focused on driving value through CRM strategies to enhance merchandising and personalization across multiscreen and platforms including email, mobile and onsite.

Prior to his current role, Jody led the development of eBay's mobile business strategy worldwide, as well as eBay's North America Advertising business. His mobile role is focused on mining customer insights to enable better mobile experiences across eBay's biggest categories, including Fashion, Motors and consumer selling.

Jody joined eBay in 2006 as head of eBay Motors in the UK. Since then, he has served in various leadership roles in the region, including leading teams that were accountable for delivering large-scale business model transformations within the Europe business. For example, Jody was responsible for the successful launch of customer-experience initiatives that led to much of eBay Europe's early success in Fashion. In 2011, eBay's global fashion business grew double-digits to $11 billion.

Before eBay, Jody worked as a consultant at McKinsey and PriceWaterhouseCoopers for six years. Prior to this, he worked at Orange, where he was responsible for strategic analysis across Europe.

Based out of eBay's headquarters in San Jose, CA., Jody graduated from Exeter University with a degree in economics and politics. He is also a qualified chartered accountant and holds an MBA from INSEAD.
