Brian McCarthy
Chief Product Officer, The Search Agency
As the Chief Product Officer of The Search Agency, Brian oversees all aspects of the development life cycle for both the agency and AdMax® Local products from strategy and early stage business requirements through project evaluation and selection to sequencing and finally development itself. Brian joined The Search Agency in 2011 with the purpose of redefining the product strategy and reorganizing the processes by which The Search Agency builds world class technologies and services. Today the organization has grown to one of the largest independent search agencies in the world with customers in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Brian was most recently VP of Advertising Products at CityGrid Media (an IAC owned company) and, prior to that, was Senior Vice President of Business Development for Revver.com and Vice President of Search for Search123 (a ValueClick company).
After graduating with a BA in Theater Arts from University of Oregon, he taught high school English before transitioning to retail/business and the Internet when he joined Bugle Boy Industries and built their ecommerce business.
